Ueno Park Tokyo
Wandering through Ueno park Shinobazu, I feel so blessed to make it just in time for the remains of the blissful Sakura blossoms. My first Hanami (flower viewing) experience involved green tea ice cream in one hand, and being dazzled by the many shades of blossomed pink Sakura, and falling petals onto neat walking tracks. The Japanese seriously know how to keep everything in immaculate condition. And I mean everything.
Just by the Shinto temple located within Ueno park, contained a prayer board, holding Ema plaques (wooden prayers). I couldn’t help but add to the collection with faith it would be read by the gods. What to wish for? World peace of course! Total tourist conundrum.
Being on 5 meals per day in Tokyo (not kidding), meant I had to choose a flowy-loose-fitted dress. Found this number at ZARA Shinjuku Tokyo and absolutely loved it. Super comfy and super versatile.
